We’re back with another exciting Tern product update! This week, we’re releasing highly requested enhancements like optional times on itinerary activities that bring more flexibility and efficiency to your workflow.
One of the most frequent requests from our community is now live! You now have the ability to add activities to an itinerary without assigning a specific date or time. This means greater flexibility when building proposals, itineraries, and free-time activities.
This enhancement allows you to build itineraries that better reflect the reality of travel planning—sometimes, it’s best to keep things open-ended! A huge thanks to everyone who pushed for this improvement.
We’re in the final stages of rolling out a major upgrade to our email and calendar integration, making it easier than ever to stay organized and connected with your clients.
What’s New?
What You Need to Do
If you’ve been using Tern scheduling links anywhere outside of Tern (like in your email signature or on your website), make sure to update those links by copying the new ones from your scheduling settings. You have until the end of March to update those links.
We’re thrilled about these improvements and appreciate your patience as we fine-tune the experience. If you notice any unexpected behavior, reach out to support! More details here: Email & calendar integration upgrade.
To eliminate any confusion, we’ve updated the authorization messages for optional add-ons. Now, if an add-on is missing a required detail—like a booking supplier or date—you’ll see a clear message indicating that it’s not ready for authorization.
This update ensures you have complete clarity on what’s required before sharing your itineraries with clients.
These updates are another step in making Tern an intuitive and powerful platform for travel advisors. Thanks for all your feedback—your insights drive these improvements! Let us know what you think and, as always, stay tuned for more exciting updates soon.
